RFID Tags
1. Which tag technology supported by your readers will provide the highest read range?
Our readers support two main tag technologies: ISO 15693 and ISO 14443A. From these two the ISO 15693 provides the higher read range. Example tag family from this technology are NXP ICODE SLI.
2. What tag sizes are available?
Our RFID tags come in a wide range of sizes and shapes, including credit card format, keyfob, disc, label, and custom geometries. The optimal size depends on the required read distance and installation environment.
3. Do you provide custom printing?
Yes, we offer custom printing options such as logos, serial numbers, barcodes, and variable data. Full colour or monochrome printing is available depending on the material.
4. Are your tags waterproof or weather-resistant?
Yes, many of our tags are sealed and rated for outdoor or industrial use. Durable materials such as PVC, ABS, or epoxy resin ensure long term performance even in harsh conditions. Avian tags are rainproof but not waterproof rated for submersion usage such as on aquatic birds. The lifetime of Avian tags is 3 years during which time the failure rate will not exceed 3%.
5. What memory sizes are available for RFID tags?
Memory capacity varies by chip type - from a few bytes for simple identification to several kilobytes for advanced data storage. Datasheets specify the exact memory for each model.
6. Can tags be reprogrammed or rewritten?
Most RFID tags support multiple read/write cycles, allowing data updates using compatible readers. Some tags, however, are read only or feature locked memory sections for security.
7. Do you offer on-metal or specialized tags?
Yes, we provide Mount-On-Metal (MoM) and industrial grade tags with special shielding or spacers designed to maintain performance when mounted on metal or challenging surfaces (APEX and similar).
8. Can you produce custom-encoded or pre-programmed tags?
Yes, we can deliver tags that are pre encoded with unique IDs or custom data, ready for direct use in your system.
